Several facts about buying a property in Bulgaria.
Foreigners are not allowed to buy land within the borders
of Bulgaria. Buying land here is possible with a company registration,
which becomes the owner of the land or the property.
Registrating a company takes about two weeks and costs
not more than 300-400 euro. Many companies here do this,

Buying a property here costs about 3-3.5
% of the total negotiated price. The government tax is
2%, the notary fee
is a proportional
fee, normally less than 1%, 0.1% goes for notarial entry,
and some other small taxes.
Papers needed for the purchase of a village property are
- Notarial Act for ownership, tax valuation of property and
a
sketch. The deal must be certified at local notary's office
- for the municipality where the property is.
Taxes for the property are paid in the city of Dobrich,
which is 20 km from Debrene. The taxes here are still
very low.
