Debrene is very famous with its annual folklore event - "Songs and dances from Sunny Dobrudzha", in which every year take part about 2000 participants, folklore groups and single performes. In this festival a traditional bulgarian culture is exhibited, as well as national songs, dances, national dresses and customs. The event attracts more than 10,000 people every year.

This year the event was held for a 39th time, at June 24th, and was opened by the Minister of Culture - Stefan Danailov. Over 11,000 people filled the forest glades around the village. June 24th was also the date for the village fair.
